Commands and shortcuts - CC GUI

Every command is in the CC GUI category. Type CC GUI in the Command Palette to see the full list.

Hide CC GUI Panel	Collapse the sidebar
Send Selection Reference to Claude	Insert a selection mention into the input box
Copy AI Reference	Copy a selection mention to the clipboard
Send File Path to Claude	Insert a file path into the input box
Generate Commit Message with Claude	Generate a commit message from the Git diff
Fix with Claude	Send the current diagnostic to the chat
Save Session as Template	Save the current session as a template
Create Session from Template	Start a new session from a template
Run Setup Wizard	Run the setup wizard
Open Webview Developer Tools	Open Webview developer tools (debug log must be on)

In-chat search is Cmd+F / Ctrl+F, and only works in the CC GUI chat view. See Chat area. The send-message shortcut is in CC GUI Settings, not the VS Code keyboard shortcuts editor. See Input box.

VS Code settings

Before you open developer tools, turn on the debug log in VS Code settings or CC GUI → Settings → General → Behavior. If it is off, the command tells you to turn that switch on first. Logs are in View → Output → CC GUI.
