CC GUI (also CCGUI / ccgui) is an open-source graphical interface for multiple CLIs. It connects several AI coding runtimes to the same chat UI. You can talk with the AI, cite files, manage sessions, and commit code in VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, or the standalone desktop app.

Desktop app

The standalone ccgui app for macOS, Windows, and Linux. It includes a file tree, terminal, Git panel, and project knowledge map.

VS Code extension

Install MossX.vscode-cc-gui from the VS Code Marketplace and chat in the sidebar or an editor tab.

JetBrains plugin

Marketplace plugin CC GUI (Claude or Codex) for IntelliJ IDEA, WebStorm, PyCharm, GoLand, and other JetBrains IDEs.

Mobile

Mobile docs are still in progress.

What you can do with CC GUI

CC GUI connects the provider you select to a single chat interface. Every client can:
  • Switch providers — move between Claude Code, Codex, Kimi, Grok, OpenCode, Pi, and DeepSeek Harness. DeepSeek Harness is currently available only in the desktop app
  • Cite files and context — use @ to cite files, / for slash commands, and ! to insert prompts. VS Code / JetBrains use # to pick an agent; the desktop app also has @@ project memory, @# notes, and $ skills
  • Manage sessions — keep multiple conversations in the same workspace or project, and roll back. The desktop app also supports forks
  • Customize behavior — configure MCP, Skills, Agents, and prompt enhancement
CC GUI is an independent open-source project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, Microsoft, JetBrains, or other third-party tool vendors.
