Extensions in the left bar sits at the same level as Home. After you open it, the center becomes a top bar instead of the chat canvas. Extensions entry in the left bar and the top bar The top bar has two groups:

Usage

This page opens by default. Usage comes from local tokentracker-cli, not from CC GUI telemetry. The first time you open it, the app checks whether that CLI is installed. If it is not, click Install or run the command in a terminal and then click Detect again:
After install, a local service starts and aggregates token usage from installed AI tools. On first start, that service writes hooks into those tools so it can collect data. The desktop app turns off anonymous telemetry for it. The dashboard can show usage by day / week / month. Cost estimates depend on the model prices you add in the provider settings.

Skills

Extensions → Skills is for viewing and installing skills you add yourself. It is not the same as the built-in curated Skills in Settings → Other settings: curated skills ship with the app and can inject automatically during chat; skills here need an explicit call or a description match. Details: Skills.

Mcps

Extensions → Mcps lists configured MCP servers for Claude Code / Codex. You can refresh, filter by source, and enable or disable them. To add a server, still write it using each runtime’s config convention, then come back here and refresh. The Marketplace entry is still Coming Soon. Details: MCP.

Entries not shipped yet

AI frameworks, Plugins, Hooks, Rules, Commands, and Subagents currently say they are coming soon. Do not configure them as shipped features. Agents and the prompt library are not in Extensions. The entry is Settings → Agents / prompts. See Agents and prompt library.
